There are 2 types of applications: General Applications for applicants from the general public, and “Preferred Applicant” Applications from artists our A&R Team has already approached or begun a dialog with.
General Applications require an application submission donation to the non-profit that administrates and provides financial oversight to this effort. General Application Submission funds serve as a sort of financial filter to discourage applications from General Applicants that may not be serious about accepting the opportunity if selected. A separate fee is also required in order to process the background screening required for all applicants. This is normally a $25 fee, however, that cost has been temporarily reduced to only $20 for all Preferred Artist Applicants.
The General Application Fee is waived for artists that have been granted "Preferred Applicant" status and that have entered the "Preferred Applicant" code on the previous pages.
All applicants, however, are required to digitally sign the Background Screening Acknowledgement and Consent Form on the previous page, and are asked to submit funds to cover the cost of processing that in house background screening for the primary applicant completing the form. When and if an act with multiple members is eventually confirmed for selection, the Extreme Tour will help with the processing of the additional background screening of those additional members.
The Extreme Tour is a project of New Hope, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, for the purposes of transparency and oversight of all our funds and operations. The funds collected go exclusively to the expense of facilitating the completion of The Extreme Tour application review, booking, and artist prep process. New Hope uses these donations exclusively for this charitable effort. No funds from these donations are used for any other New Hope activity, project, or service.

Be advised, we are currently in negotiations with a third party online platform to administrate all General Applicant submissions from artists we have not already been in conversation with, or that we do not have a previous working relationship with. We are currently only accepting applications from artists we have been communicating with, and to whom we have granted "Preferred Applicant" status for the 2019 tour. Please check back for General Application Information when that process opens.
